Start Your First Lock
This guide walks you through a first self-lock session. You can explore shared locks later if you want a keyholder involved.
Start a Self-Lock
To create your first session, you need:
- A chastity device that locks with a key.
- A lock box or safe with a code you can scramble.
You can test the platform without locking your box to explore features before your first real session.
Time Based or Card Based
Chastify locks are time-based. Set a minimum duration and an optional maximum. You can also enable random initial duration so the start time picks a value within your range.
Example:
- Minimum: 30 minutes
- Maximum (optional): 1 hour
If you enable the card game, unlocks require you to draw one or more green cards. The initial duration does not unlock the lock in this mode. Red cards make you wait before drawing again. Card types include:
- Sticky: stays in the deck and acts like a red card but is not removed.
- Freeze: pauses the card timer and all game modules until unfrozen.
- Yellow: randomly adds or removes red cards.
- Shock: for Cellmate Pro 3 or Cagink.Metal.Shake, triggers vibration or shock for up to 30 seconds at maximum strength.
Lock Options
Toggle options that change session behavior. If you are new, enable a maximum time limit so your session cannot extend too far.
Emergency unlock lets you end the session immediately so you can reveal the combination code, view the combination image, or use device controls again.
Hygienic unlock gives you a temporary window to unlock and relock. It can be timer-based or limited by session uses. You get 30 minutes to unlock and relock, and missing the window applies penalties.
Extensions
Extensions add games, tasks, and rule systems. Combine them to shape the experience you want.
Lock Combination
Use a lock box, padlock, or safe with a code, or start a supported device lock. Chastify supports Qiui and Lockink devices, and you can either upload a photo of the combination or generate a random code inside Chastify for combination-based locks.
If you start a device lock, the attached device is bound to that lock session. Lock and unlock controls stay unavailable until the session ends.
If you accept a keyholder's lock template, they can execute shocks or vibration commands when you have granted shock/vibrate consent on the Qiui link page.
Combination Photo Flow
- Place your key inside the lock box or padlocked container.
- Change the code without looking.
- Take a clear photo of the code without reading it.
- Upload the photo when creating the session.
- Lock the box and scramble the code again.
- Start the session and delete the photo from your device.
Tip: If the image might be blurry, request verification so a moderator can confirm it when the session starts.
To avoid potential issues, make sure the lock session has actually started and that you are redirected back to the main dashboard before closing the combination safe.
The combination image is not saved until the lock is created and started. Before that, if you are using the Android app to take the photo, it may only exist temporarily in your phone's memory.
Generate a Combination
- Choose the number of digits your lock box supports.
- Chastify generates a code you set on the box.
- Lock the box, scramble the code, and start the session.
You will see the code again when the timer ends.
To help you forget the code, the built-in scrambler asks if you remember it and can generate a new combination multiple times.
If you archive or delete the lock session before it has ended, the generated combination code and any stored combination image will be removed and cannot be recovered.
For QIUI and Lockink device locks, archiving or deleting a lock session will let you access the lock controls again and unlock the device.
To prevent this kind of cheat, you can enable Hardcore Mode. While Hardcore Mode is active, you will not be able to archive the lock session.
Digital Key
It is recommended to enable Emergency Release before a lock session starts. This lets you escape the session at any time in an actual emergency, or if you simply decide you are done and want out.
If you do not enable Emergency Release, there is still a paid fallback: you can buy yourself an emergency release for $10.
Emergency Release Keys are one-time digital unlock donations. They let you end your session early even when Emergency Release is disabled on the lock.
- A key is only consumed if Emergency Release is disabled.
- If Emergency Release is already enabled, using it will not consume a key.
- By default, a lock can require 1 key for paid emergency release, equal to $10.
This supports the site and adds a moment of friction so you think twice before escaping. If you believe a bug is affecting your session, contact Support chat instead of using a paid emergency release.
You can also increase the number of required keys up to 10 keys. Once the session is active, this value cannot be decreased until the lock session has ended.
There is also an option to disable paid Emergency Release Keys entirely:
- Globally, for future locks as well
- For the rest of the current lock session only
If you disable paid Emergency Release Keys only for the current session, that setting can be restored again after the lock session has ended.
