Create a Shared Lock
Shared locks let you build a template with custom lock modules and configurations. Any user can create a shared lock template.
Create a Template
- Open Shared Lock in the dashboard.
- Create a new template.
- Set rules, timers, and limits.
- Share the invite link with a keyholder or wearer.
You can save up to 3 template slots for quick loading, and share a template link in chat. When someone opens it, the editor loads with your configuration.
Description and Media
A detailed description increases acceptance rates. Use the HTML editor with links, headings, bold, italic, and emoji to make the template stand out. Add relevant tags, then pick a Pixabay image or upload your own.
Welcome Message
If enabled, the wearer sees a welcome message when starting a shared lock. Add the Confirm and Checkboxes insert to require acknowledgment of rules before they continue.
Findom
If you offer paid keyholding, enable the toggle for paid keyholding service. Creating a lock template and demanding money from wearers may result in your account having community features be restricted.
Trap Mode
Trap mode lets you surprise-extend or freeze a wearer's lock after they start it. When enabled, the initial duration is capped at 60 minutes — the wearer expects a short session, but you get an instant notification with a live countdown. Before the lock expires, you can add more time, freeze it indefinitely, and send them a message. The wearer sees a "You've Been Trapped" screen with the details. No trust relationship is required.
Recommended starting duration is 5 to 30 minutes. Trap mode cannot be combined with the card game module. For reliable notifications, use Discord linking or the Android app.
Verification Photo Before Start
Enable verification photo before start to require a verification image from the wearer. You will receive a notification to approve or reject it. If rejected, the wearer is unlocked immediately.
