Identity Verification & Profile Badges

Profile badges describe different things: an identity-verification result, a disclosed persona, paid keyholding, a subscription, or a role. Read the label rather than treating every badge as the same kind of verification.

Identity verification uses Didit. It is separate from account security and passkeys, Discord linking, Daily Verification, and Task Photo Verification.

What the badges mean

BadgeWhat it tells youWhat it does not establish
ID verifiedChastify has an approved Didit identity-verification result for the account. Select the badge to read its explanation. That every profile photo or claim is authentic, that the person will honor an agreement, or that interacting with them is risk-free.
ParodyThe account discloses a fictional, AI-assisted, or other persona. The operator can differ from the character presented. That the operator's real age, gender, or identity matches the persona.
FindomThe account has enabled its paid-keyholding/findom profile. A checkmark means the account is also ID verified. That Chastify guarantees payments or services.
Supporter / Fan or another displayed plan nameThe account has active access associated with that subscription plan.Identity verification, staff authority, or a trust rating.
Keyholder / Wearer / SwitchThe account's selected participation role.A professional qualification or identity check.
Developer / Admin / ModeratorA staff or site role displayed by Chastify.A reason to share your password, passkey recovery information, or one-time sign-in codes.

An account can show both ID verified and Parody: verification concerns the account operator, while the persona disclosure concerns how the profile presents itself. A Findom profile can also exist without an ID badge when enrollment without identity verification is allowed, or because earlier enrollment requirements differed. Missing a badge alone does not explain why an account is unverified.

For paid arrangements, see Findom. For subscription access and gifts, see Support the Site.

Optional document-sex disclosure

Under Settings → General → Privacy, Show the sex recorded on my verified ID controls the Sex shown on verified ID: Male/Female row in your profile’s ID-badge popup. This is on by default for new accounts and accounts without a saved preference, is visible to profile visitors including guests when enabled, and also requires Show my gender to be on. Explicitly turning it off keeps the value private.

The row uses a recognized value from an approved identity check, not your editable profile gender or appearance. It describes the account operator’s ID document, which can differ from their gender identity or a persona. Missing or unrecognized values are omitted. When either privacy setting hides it, the popup says Sex shown on verified ID: Hidden by privacy settings and the value is withheld. Losing verified status removes the ID badge; no name, birth date, document number, or verification link is added to the popup.

Age from verified ID

The Age from verified ID setting in the same privacy section lets you choose Five-year range, Exact age, or Hidden. The default is a five-year range, such as 30–34. Age is calculated from the approved ID check and updates as birthdays pass; your ID birth date is never included in the profile response or popup.

Turning off Show my age and date of birth, or choosing Hidden, replaces this detail with Age from verified ID: Hidden by privacy settings. Missing or invalid ID birth dates are omitted. This setting controls the ID badge; your ordinary, editable profile age keeps its existing visibility setting.

Where verification starts

Findom setup

Open your own profile's Findom profile → Setup/Edit, or Settings → Findom. New profiles ask whether you represent yourself or a Parody or AI-content persona. Choose the accurate disclosure before continuing.

When verification is required, the setup shows the prerequisites for your account. These can include an eligible active subscription or gift subscription, followed by Start Verification. When enrollment without verification is allowed, you can enable Findom first. Reopen the setup afterwards to use Identity verification (optional); starting a new check still requires an eligible subscription or gift subscription. Requirements are conditional; there is not a universal self-service verification button for every account.

Completing verification does not fill in or enable a Findom profile for you. Return to the setup, review your offer, dispute policy, and payment methods, then save when the prerequisites are satisfied.

A verification request from Chastify

Staff can send an Identity verification required notification and, when email delivery is available, a verification email. Follow the request associated with your own account.

For a community-access requirement, the dashboard can show Community features paused, the current verification status, and Open Didit verification. The notice allows you to continue managing your own locks while the verification requirement limits community features. If verification was requested during a ban appeal, continue communicating through that appeal; an approved identity check is separate from the appeal decision.

Use your account's verification link

Start from Chastify's setup, dashboard notice, or verification request. Keep the link private. Do not send identity documents or selfies to another user in chat as a substitute for completing the hosted verification flow.

Complete the Didit flow

  1. Open Start Verification or Open Didit verification, as offered for your account.
  2. Read the provider's notices and complete the document, camera, or other checks requested in that flow.
  3. Follow any additional-information request shown by Didit. Opening a session or submitting material is not the same as approval.
  4. Return to Chastify. Reopen the Findom setup or refresh the dashboard to check the recorded status. If a return link does not take you to a useful page, open Chastify yourself and check there.
  5. Check that the expected feature is available or that ID verified appears on your profile. If another restriction remains, read that restriction separately.

Chastify receives the provider's result separately from your browser returning to the site. Do not assume a completed browser step has already updated your account.

Understand the status

Status shownWhat to do
Not Started / In ProgressOpen the existing session and finish the requested steps.
Awaiting UserCheck the provider flow for the action it requires from you.
In Review / ResubmittedThe result is not approved yet. Follow any instructions provided; contact Support if you cannot determine the next step.
ApprovedChastify can mark the identity check as verified once it records the result. Check your profile and the feature that requested verification.
DeclinedRead the result or contact Support for the next step. Do not assume repeatedly opening the same link changes the decision.
Expired / Abandoned / KYC ExpiredThe session or verification is no longer usable as an approved current result. Use the restart option when offered, or ask Support about a replacement request.

Use the current status rather than expecting a fixed review deadline. For help, provide the status, approximate time, and error message rather than sending identity documents in an ordinary support message.

Reopen or restart

For an unfinished Findom verification, use Open Didit verification to reuse the existing session. Restart Verification appears for supported expired or abandoned states. Creating a replacement session may be rate-limited; follow the error message rather than repeatedly starting new sessions.

For a staff-issued request with a missing or unusable link, contact Support, or use your existing appeal conversation if applicable. Ask for help with that request rather than creating a second account.

Who can see verification information

  • Other profile viewers: the profile and Explore badge expose whether the account is ID verified. The profile badge can additionally show the sex and age from the verified ID under the privacy settings described above. Sex disclosure defaults on and age defaults to a five-year range. It does not show your verification session link, identity documents, or other extracted identity details.
  • You: your account can show the verification status and the link needed to continue an unfinished session.
  • Authorized staff: administrators and the site owner can inspect verification details. Moderator access to identity data depends on the site's access policy. Staff review tools can also retrieve fresh verification results and provider-hosted media from Didit.

Your ordinary profile fields have their own visibility settings. Hiding your profile age or Discord username is separate from the identity-verification badge. The Parody badge itself does not reveal the operator’s private identity. The separate document-sex disclosure, if enabled, refers to the operator rather than the persona.

What Chastify retains

Chastify records verification status, session identifiers, relevant timestamps, and provider decision information. Depending on what the provider returns, retained identity information can include names, birth date, gender, a personal or national identifier, document type and country, and other identity attributes in the verification decision. It is more than a simple yes/no badge.

Extracted identity details are stored encrypted. Selected identity fields in retained decision data, including names, birth dates, and personal identifiers, are also encrypted. The document and camera checks take place in the provider's flow; authorized staff review can retrieve provider-hosted media. Read the notices shown by Chastify and Didit before continuing, and contact Support for questions about your data or verification request.

Badges do not replace consent or judgment

An identity check does not approve someone's conduct or guarantee an arrangement. Report threats, misleading claims, or ignored boundaries through the relevant user or conversation controls, regardless of the badges displayed.
